In a post-secular culture—that is, a culture that has embraced secularism, but is now in search of its spiritual voice—our familiarity with particular theological ideas has been degraded. And some topics, like grace, particularly in progressive religious communities, have almost disappeared. But maybe our problem with grace, as we understand it, has to do with a misunderstanding of God.
