"A Journey Through the Gray Book"

  • UUTC 24 Varsity St at South Broad Brevard, NC 28712-0918 (map)

Our gray hymnal, "Singing the Living Tradition" is a treasure trove of inspirational music and readings that we UU's sometimes take for granted. Join Jon as he uncovers some of the book's amazing hidden gems and mysteries. Let's discover why it's more than just a hymnal!

Guest Speaker Jon Arterton

Jon is the Director of Music at the U U Church of St. Petersburg, Florida. He's also the conductor of The One City Chorus, a 100-voice community chorus specializing in social justice songs. Years ago he earned his Master’s Degree at New England Conservatory, and he founded the gay a cappella group The Flirtations that sang at Carnegie Hall and in the film Philadelphia
