Hey families, your kids are invited to join us at Santa’s Workshop on Friday, Dec 13, 5PM to 8PM for an evening of fun and creativity.  Kids aged 3 to 10 will make crafts, play fun games, and eat yummy treats while being overseen by our church staff and volunteers.  After you drop off your kids, you are free to go shopping (remember to support local businesses!), have a date night or simply relax!

Activities for the kiddos will include:

• Pizza dinner (plus fruit and veggies)

• Holiday themed crafts to take home

• Sugar cookie making

• Fun games and juggling!

• And more!

• Invite your kid’s friends to join us!

Cost:  $20/child and $10 for siblings.  $40 family max and scholarships are available.  

Location: Unitarian Universalists of Transylvania County, 24 Varsity St (across from the Cardinal Drive In) in Brevard.

Christians wait and prepare for Christmas in the season of Advent, which begins this week. In a different way an artist at the easel waits and prepares for the new, but maybe isn’t sure just what is coming, or how it will change us. Artists discover the new in the doing, in a process of unfolding, responding and changing. Join us for an exploration of the lessons that painting can bring to our lives.

Guest Speaker- Rev. Nancy Richards

(Rev) Nancy Richards is delighted to be the president of the board at UUTC. A local landlord passionate about housing, she is also currently a painter and has dabbled in many other art media over the years. Nancy loves color and experimentation and is always trying to learn from people, from nature, and from creative pursuits.
