Opal String Quartet

Listen to Franklin Keel (cello), Karen Pommerich (violin), Kara Poorbaugh (viola) and Mariya Potapova (violin) weave the artistry of the Opal String Quartet!

The Opal String Quartet will perform Mozart's Quartet No. 19, K. 465, known as the "Dissonant" Quartet--along with some other gems from Ravel and Shostakovich. They will also perform “Cendrawasih” by Nyoma Windha, a Balinese gamelan piece arranged for string quartet by Brian Baumbusch.

Come experience these artists in the intimate setting of UUTC's sanctuary!

The Opal String Quartet, formed in 2006, is a professional chamber ensemble based in Asheville, North Carolina.
