The love affair with God often sounds so one-sided, so tame. Where is the passion? Where is the allure? Why are we afraid to embrace ecstasy in our sacred practices, in our devotions?
Speaker: Rev. Ian White Maher
Rev. Ian White Maher is UUTC’s new Interim Minister. Rev. Maher is a born UU from Portsmouth, NH (his family settled there in the 1600s and many descendants still live there). He is a hiker, biker and kayaker. During August he kayaked from Albany, NY to Quebec City, afterwards attending UU Interim Ministry training.
He's a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, and Harvard Divinity School. He is single and forty-something years old. He has never been an interim minister before but is looking forward to it.
Services at 9:30 and 11:00am. Coffee and light refreshments between services.
UUTC is a Welcoming Congregation inclusive of persons of all backgrounds, faiths and lifestyles. The building is wheelchair accessible, dress is casual, and visitors are always warmly welcomed. Children's Lifespan Religious Exploration is offered at 11:00. Infant care is available during both services.
