Faith, Hope, and Perseverance: Keeping on during hard times.  As the British say, “Keep calm and carry on.”  Jean, born in 1941, is very interested in reading about World War II.  She feels that there was something about the atmosphere during her earliest days that had apparently affected her.  She is particularly interested in the blitz of London and what the children went through when they went to the underground bomb shelters at night when the sirens would howl.  Perseverance as a form of faith and hope.
